Sensei George & Dominic Ohan
Presidents of the Ohan Family Martial Arts Organization

Dominic and George Ohan are the proud owners of the Ohan Brothers dojo, on Valdombre Street, in Saint-Léonard, Qc. They ensure that karate is very effective for hyperactive children and the children's parents certainly agree on that note, affirms Dominic Ohan. Dominic and George Ohan's courses are very popular not only with children but amongst the adults as well. Often times you will see a parent signing-up for courses alongside with their son or daughter. Parents get involved with their children in taking up on the courses, which adds a great activity to participate in with their kids. The Ohan dojo also offers free try-outs to the curious and undecided parent. Dominic Ohan believes that karate forges the character of the young people. "I already had a pupil who was very timid, he says. Karate gave him the confidence he was lacking, and today he is a brown belt." Beyond the benefits it has on the character, karate has also many positive effects on the health of young people. The courses can be demanding and this helps develop their endurance and their physical strength.

Tournaments
It has been 10 years since the Ohan brothers opened their
dojo. These two brothers are both decorated with the black belt and have put aside competition in order to concentrate solely on their dojo and their gym. They have approximately 150 pupils. Each year, they accompany them in various tournaments around the four corners of Quebec.
Their goal is to spread the spirit, history, culture and techniques of Karate and to educate students in the traditional methods practical applications inherent in the Kyokushin style; ultimately training their hearts and bodies to become equally strong fighters and peaceful individuals.
Their methods of teaching provide discipline, full contact fighting and Kyokushin martial arts to prepare their students for worldwide tournaments.
After the death of Sosai Masutatsu Oyama the IKO KYOKUSHIN-KAIKAN split up into different groups:
